Who is Alinity? Pro streamer reveals bizarre reason for getting banned from Twitch

Alinity, a Twitch celebrity, was banned from the platform for twerking and calling the site "bullshit" shortly after. The influencer has amassed roughly 1.5 million followers on Twitch making her one of the most well-liked female streamers in recent years.

Though you would assume things would go smoothly for the streamer, on May 30 she was abruptly suspended from the Amazon-owned website. She's now considering "taking business somewhere else" after getting into trouble for a straightforward dancing twerk.

Who is Alinity?

Natalia 'Alinity' Mogollon is a Twitch gamer, best known for her live streaming channel, where she posts videos of her playing games such as World of Warcraft, which is where she takes her alias Alinity from. Born in January 1988, the 35-year-old grew up in Colombia but is now based in Canada. She began streaming full-time in 2012 and has since amassed one million subscribers.

Mogollon also has a sizable following on other social media platforms, boasting 419.6K followers on Twitter, 181K YouTube subscribers, and over 400k followers on Instagram.

Alinity banned from Twitch for twerking

After her channel disappeared with Twitch's ban message instead, Alinity took to Twitter to explain the reason for her suspension. It turns out she was banned for twerking during one of her live streams. The streamer ridiculed the platform for its actions and is now contemplating taking her business elsewhere.

“Got banned on Twitch for TWERKING. Yes, really. What a bullshit ass platform, thinking of taking business somewhere else,” she said. “3 f*cking days. I got less when I had a [wardrobe malfunction]. what a JOKE.”

Alinity was quick to share the clip that got her the three-day suspension on Twitter. It shows her dancing while a friend plays a song live.

The Twitch star believes that there are worse clips than hers on the platform and urged her fans to report them. She mentions that she received a ban despite her efforts to notify the platform about videos that are far more explicit. The streamer's frustration with Twitch is evident, and this incident could influence her decision to move to other platforms.
