Overwatch 2's damage hero Bastion is no longer in the game, and players can't play turret builder Torbjorn in competitive play, either. Here's everything you need to know about these characters' return.
When Are Bastion and Torbjorn Coming Back to Overwatch 2?
Overwatch 2 players have experienced many problems with launch week, but the removal of these exciting heroes has been added to the list of this game's latest issues.
Overwatch 2 players faced balancing problems, consisting of abilities from Bastion and Torbjorn which could easily fail. The Ultimate Ability from Bastion prolonged artillery hits, while the Overload feature from Torbjorn doubled its time for triggering the ability. Since these bugs became apparent, Bastion was removed by Blizzard, and Torbjorn was banned from competitive play.
After removing these characters, players also notice an additional bug that made rosters unavailable.
Blizzard released a statement regarding the bugs, stating that these issues were part of a server-side bug and as a solution, the company would be shutting the servers down on Oct. 11. Overwatch fans noticed, however, that this solution only worked for some players.
Blizzard has not released a statement detailing the return of Bastion and Torbjorn yet, and fans currently don't have predictions for a set date. Players speculated that since the bugs created by the loss of Bastion doesn't appear completely solved, the return of the characters will most likely come back when all the Heroes are available for unlocking.
While Bastion and Torbjorn aren't currently in the game, you can read more about earning a free Reaper skin or getting Kiriko for free in Overwatch 2.
