Riot Games to Become Shareholder in Aim Lab Developer

Today, Riot Games has announced that it will become a minority shareholder in Statespace, the developers behind coaching and training platform Aim Lab.

The League of Legends and Valorant developer is deepening its relationship with Statespace, with Aim Lab becoming the official training and coaching platform for Valorant. The partnership will see Aim Lab make use of Riot’s IPs to better integrate in-game physics, maps, and weapons — giving Valorant players more true-to-life training experiences.

Of the partnership Global Head of Corporate Development at Riot Games Jake Perlman-Garr said, “We look forward to collaborating with Statespace on developing innovative training and coaching tools for VALORANT and MOBA players around the world to improve their skills at every level.”

Aim Lab has been a strong collaborator of Riot's for some time, having been a part of multiple programs over the years such as Valorant Challengers North America, EMEA, LATAM, Game Changers, and Valorant Champions Tour.Â

Dr. Wayne Mackey, CEO of Statespace, said, "Riot has been the best partner, collaborator, and facilitator that we could have asked for. We are thrilled to continue to improve player experience through training, coaching, and scouting in Valorant and soon, in League of Legends."

With the agreement, Riot will gain a minority stake in Statespace, utilizing the partnership to develop innovative training, coaching, and scouting tools for Valorant players and eventually MOBA players.
