Pokémon Annihilape: What We Know So Far

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's release date is fast approaching, and leakers have now uncovered Paldea's entire Pokédex. Among the entries in the Pokédex are new cross-generation evolutions of well-known Pokémon, including Dunsparce's evolution Dudunsparce and Primeape's evolution, Annihilape.

Unlike the official reveals of Pokémon like Klawf and Farigiraf on Game Freak's social media accounts, these evolutions were found by leakers who have obtained the game early or have used newly-available ROMs. Twitter user CentroLeaks posted a full list of the skills and movesets for each Pokémon in the Pokédex on Friday, giving some new insight into what kind of Pokémon Primeape's evolution will be.

Annihilape: What We Know So Far

According to CentroLeaks' Tweet, Annihilape appears to be a Fighting- and Ghost- type, a combination rarely seen in the franchise until now. It also learns several hard-hitting moves like Seismic Toss, Rage Fist, and Final Gambit as it progresses through levels. Interestingly, while its Ghost-type gives it useful immunities, Annihilape does not appear to learn many respective moves.

While more specific details on how to successfully evolve Primeape are unclear, fans have noted that Primeape's Pokedex entries in previous games allude to its anger eventually causing its death. At the same time, though, it's also stated that Primeape finds peace in death, which seems to contradict Annihilape's appearance and demeanor.

As always, these leaks haven't been officially confirmed, so it's uncertain whether this is Annihilape's true appearance in-game.
