Overwatch 2 PVP Beta Tank Tier List
We've removed Wrecking Ball from this list for the time being due to his overpowered status.
S-Tier
- Orisa
In one serious upset, Orisa has rocketed up the list to sit at the S-Tier in Overwatch 2. This comes as quite a surprise as this poor hero hasn't topped charts since her launch. Now, with her new kit, she appears to have a newfound lease on life and a new place in players' pick sheets.
A-Tier
- Sigma
- Zarya
While not meta-makers in their own right, A-Tier heroes are still worthy of adoration and proper respect. Players may find themselves gravitating to an A-Tier pick with better team synergy when the situation calls for it. After all, one hero is not the solution to every tank issue in Overwatch 2.
B-Tier
- Dva
- Doomfist
- Reinhardt
B-Tier heroes fill the final slot between meta-matching and strictly situational. Some may be surprised to find Reinhardt here but, hey, it's Overwatch 2. Players should be prepared for big changes like these going forward.
C-Tier

The C-Tier is perhaps the least surprising on this list with Winston and Roadhog, two tanks in name only, resting here. Obviously, both heroes are still useful, but have never fit in with the barrier meta showcased by those in the B-Tier and above.
