Twitch's revenue split system has been a topic of controversy among streamers due to the platform keeping 50% of what creators earn. While some creators have voiced their grievances about this issue, others are content with the current arrangement and have lucrative contracts with Twitch. One such creator is Kai Cenat, who is satisfied with Twitch's model.

However, certain companies spread rumors about his earnings from the platform. Cenat swiftly shut down these rumors with a strong response. After his recent suspension from Twitch, rumors started circulating on the platform that the site earned between $10-15M from his subathon that took place from February to March. Uncovering Kai Cenat's earnings during His subathon

Recently, some news outlets reported that Cenat made just $2M during his 31-day subathon on Twitch, while the streaming platform had reportedly earned between $10M and $15M. The subathon saw Cenat streaming for 31 consecutive days, to become the top streamer on Twitch, which he achieved on the final day. The 21-year-old streamer's earnings and the revenue earned by Twitch during the subathon have been the subject of much speculation and controversy.

Although Cenat broke the record by gaining 306K subscribers during his subathon and became the Number 1 streamer, he never disclosed his earnings publicly. Therefore, when he came across social media posts linking specific numbers to his name, he criticized the accounts for spreading misinformation.

“Where are these numbers coming from? You here talking about some, ‘Twitch made 15-20 million dollars on Kai Cenat, and Kai only brought about 2 million back.’ Because now it’s a narrative that I’m just a black man who’s getting used for millions and millions and millions of dollars,” he exclaimed in frustration in his recent livestream.

A user said in reaction, "Gone be real funny when twitch takes 50% of all the earnings for the month? ."
