Logitech is partnering with iFixit to offer genuine parts for repairing your Logitech devices, starting with mice.
The new partnership will initially see iFixit providing genuine parts for the Logitech MX Master and MX Anywhere mouse models this summer in the US. Replacement parts will include "feet replacement, battery replacement, and opening procedures," and there will be the option to purchase just the parts, or complete "Fix Kits" solutions.
The iFixit Logitech Repair Hub already has sections for mice, keyboards, headphones, speakers, game controllers, cameras, and similar sections specifically for Logitech G devices.
As well as providing parts for existing devices, iFixit is going to help Logitech develop new designs that make it easier for customers to carry out self-repair. That includes repair guides so it's easy to know exactly how to install the parts without causing further damage.
Prakash Arunkundrum, chief operating officer at Logitech, explains, "More can be done by brands and by broader value chains who wish to play an active role in the shift to a more circular economy. I am excited that we are able to collaborate with iFixit to develop better designs and make it easier for consumers to have a self-repair option to extend the life of our products."
iFixit has a growing list of partners for whom it offers parts and repair guides. They include Microsoft for Surface products, Google for Pixel Phone parts, Samsung for Galaxy devices, and Valve for the Steam Deck and Index VR headset.
