While there are more games waiting to be fully available for download through Nintendo Switch Online for both the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance services, the games already readily available will provide a nostalgic feeling for those who weren't able to play the games upon their initial releases.

One of the games planned to be released through the first wave is Pokémon Trading Card Game, a game that came out around 24 years ago. So, how can players play this game, along with any others offered in this first batch of releases?

Players who have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription will have access to the Game Boy games, but they will need a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription for access to games available through the Game boy Advance service, which includes the Pokémon Trading Card Game.

The yearly expansion pack subscription costs around $50, with the normal subscription deal only costing $20 for a year. Once players get the yearly expansion pack, they will be able to download Pokémon Trading Card Game through the Game Boy Advance service on Nintendo Switch Online.

In Pokémon Trading Card Game, players experience the game as a trainer who must battle through eight Club Masters and four Grand Masters using Pokémon Cards to obtain the Legendary Cards. The typings are much more limited in this game as opposed to the main series Pokémon games, so there is much more strategy in which cards players choose to deploy in battle.

Pokémon Trading Card Game was revealed to be coming to Nintendo Switch Online on Feb. 8.
