The House of the Dead: Remake is getting a next-gen upgrade, so when is it coming to PS5?
A remade version of the classic 1997 arcade rail shooter, The House of the Dead: Remake was initially released back in April last year for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Now, developers MegaPixel Studio S. A. have given the game a next-gen upgrade, bringing it to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The remake offers a number of features, including:
- Modern graphics and controls
- Gyro aiming
- Local 2-player multiplayer
- Multiple endings
- Photomode
- Achievements
- Armory with unlockable weapons
- New game mode
- Gallery

When Does House of the Dead Remake Release on PlayStation 5?
The House of the Dead: Remake's next-gen upgrade is now available. It was released on Jan. 20, 2023. PlayStation 5 owners will be able to download the next-gen version when purchasing the game from the digital storefront.
Players who previously owned the PlayStation 4 version will also be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version at no extra cost.
The PlayStation 5 version is only available as a digital download, with no physical version made available at the time of writing.
