Genshin Impact 'Hyakunin Ikki' Event Guide

Initially making its Genshin Impact debut in Version 2.1 before returning in Version 2.5, the Hyakunin Ikki event is back once again, inviting players to obtain Primogems, Mora and Ascension materials by completing combat-based challenges.

To be eligible for the event, players must at least be Adventure Rank 30 and need to have completed the Archon Quest "Ritou Escape Plan."

Hyakunin Ikki is a recurring event in which participants through six different combat challenges, with a new one unlocking daily for the early days of the event:

  • Oct. 10: Mora Web Castle
  • Oct. 11: Proof of the Man
  • Oct. 12: Machines' Afternoon
  • Oct. 13: The Red Handkerchief
  • Oct. 14: Dream of the Stray Dog and the Bad
  • Oct. 15: Blade of the Immortal Tengu-Kin

In each challenge, players can choose to bring either trial characters or their own to form six tag teams of two. All Trial Characters are at Level 80 with fixed weapons and artifacts.

Players gain rewards based on how many enemies they defeat, though each of their teams can only remain on the field for a certain amount of time before their performance drops. Every 10 seconds, players can use Relay to switch their teams in the order in which they were formed. Switching teams will clear most of the effects that the previous team left behind. If all members of any one team fall, the challenge will fail.

This event also encourages players to take advantage of Secret Arts and Transmission Arts. These are buffs for the team on the field that vary depending on the challenge and stage of the challenge that players are on.

The Hyakunin Ikki event began on Oct. 10 and is set to end on Oct. 24.
