New Champions are always hot news in the League of Legends community, and the release of Champions like Zeri, Renata Glasc, and Bel'Veth has introduced a trend of both unique and strong new Champions. Now, rumors have been circulating about a new Champion named Nilah. Here's what we know about her so far.
Everything We Know About Nilah in League of Legends
After some previously cryptic teasers, Riot Games just revealed an official teaser for the new Champion Nilah on the official League of Legends Twitter account. The character announces herself as "Nilah of the Seventh Layer", and she appears to work alongside a Water Demon to rapidly whip between and slash opponents.
During a livestream by League developer Ryan 'Reav3' Mireles, he announced that Nilah will be a "non-traditional bot lane champion" coming to the game later this year. Leaks related to her indicate that she's going to be a Melee ADC, with some fun abilities that'll make her stand out amongst other bot lane Champions.
Nilah's official release date hasn't been announced yet, but it's likely she'll be released in a later patch in Season 12, sometime in the Fall or Winter. In the next few weeks we should be getting some more information about her specific abilities, basic stats, as well as a bit more about her character lore, and how she fits into the stories of other characters and the world of Runeterra as a whole.
