Cristiano Ronaldo FIFA 23 Flashback SBC went live Dec. 16 at the start of the FIFA World Cup Team of the Tournament promotion.
Cristiano Ronaldo received a Flashback SBC item during the World Cup update following Lionel Messi. As Ronaldo has mutually terminated his contract with Manchester United, Ronaldo's Flashback card does not have a club and is aligned to the Portuguese National Team meaning he will be harder to link. As well, this is the second time Ronaldo has received a Flashback SBC in FIFA Ultimate Team.
This new card looks fun to use, but fans are not going to be happy with the assigned price.

This SBC is coming in around 500,000 coins to complete from scratch. Just an absolute slap in the face from EA Sports. The argument around doing these types of Flashback Era cards for high end meta items is that players can work toward getting a version of Cristiano Ronaldo, or Messi for example, in their clubs. The only problem with that is it is extremely easy to get Messi or Ronaldo in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team.
Ronaldo's gold item is 72,500 coins on the transfer market. And his gold card actually provides club links to Premier League players and Manchester United players. The card itself isn't bad, it's well balanced and looks like a fun attacker to use with good positional flexibility. The price is just ridiculous all things considered.
