The Capcom Showcase was brimming with Resident Evil news, including a new DLC for Resident Evil Village.
Resident Evil fans have been given a lot to get excited about thanks to Capcom's dedicated showcase. Of the announcements was a new Gold Edition for Resident Evil Village, containing new features and a brand new DLC. Titled Shadows of Rose, this new DLC takes place 16 years after the events of Resident Evil Village, and follows Ethan Winters' daughter Rose as she lives with the consequences of her abilities.
According to Capcom's website, Rose enters the consciousness of the Megamycete â a being made of mold â but struggles to distinguish between fantasy and reality.
Shadows of Rose and the Winters' Expansion will be available to purchase separately, or as part of the Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition.

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition contains both the main game and the Winters' Expansion. The expansion includes the following:
- Third Person Campaign Mode
- Shadows of Rose DLC
- New stages and characters in The Mercenaries Additional Orders
- Resident Evil Re:Verse
The Winters' Expansion and Resident Evil Village: Gold Edition will release on Oct. 28, 2022. Both will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
